Cast iron details with timeless character

Care instructions for your cast iron

Cast iron is a living material that only becomes more beautiful with age. When it is left outdoors, it acquires a natural and charming rust patina over time. If you want to maintain the brown or black color or slow down the rusting process, you can easily maintain the product with what you have at home in your kitchen.

Oiling: Apply a thin layer of regular cooking oil (e.g. rapeseed oil or olive oil) with a cloth at regular intervals. This saturates the iron and provides a nice protection.

Cleaning: Rinse off dirt with water. Avoid strong cleaning agents that can dry out the surface.

Winter storage: To extend the life of the cast iron even further, it is a good idea to store it dry during the harshest winter months.
