Tea towel Carl Larsson's Brita, 50x70 cm, white

Kitchen towel in full linen with printed motif by Brita, Karin & Carl Larsson's daughter. This original aquarelle was on the cover of Idun's Christmas issue in 1901.

Karin has sewn the Christmas red dress that Brita wears and where she comes walking with her basket of apples and the lit candles, she looks like Christmas itself, the Christmas that comes with joy, candles and good gifts. So Carl says: "Stand still" and then it became an aquarelle when Brita got to stand model.

A piece of Swedish art history on a kitchen towel in linen, a durable and beautiful choice of fabric that only gets nicer with the years.
